Wyl Villacres is a bartender from Chicago. He is the author of the chapbook BOTTOM OF THE NINTH (WhiskeyPaper, 2015) and the forthcoming collection HERE IS WHERE I WAS LOST (Wyvern Lit, 2016). Wyl is the managing editor of the chapbook press Broken Leg Books. His stories has been featured in McSweeney's, The Rumpus, and Hobart Pulp, among others. Wyl's work has been included in the Best of the Net 2014 anthology and was called notable in Best American Essays 2015. His voice has been broadcast over microphones at 2nd Story, Reading Under the Influence, Write Club, Story Club, and Guts & Glory.
Wyl Villacres is the former senior editor of Chicago Literati and former host and coordinator for Silver Tongue Reading Series. He formerly tutored creative writing students and formerly wrote copy for a dating company.
